Baical Skullcap is widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat inflammatory conditions such as allergies and eczema. It is also used in chronic inflammatory conditions, particularly autoimmune disorders and chronic infections.
Several studies have shown anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy activity for Baical Skullcap. It has been suggested that it may inhibit immune cells binding with allergy-causing substances as well as inhibiting histamine release by other immune cells.
